LEXINGTON, Miss. – The Holmes County Consolidated School District’s (HCCSD) call-to-action phrase, It’s That Time! by Superintendent of School James L. Henderson, Ed.D. has taken on an added meaning. It is now the title of the district’s official roadmap to success: It’s That Time! Strategic Plan 2019-2022.
During its Thursday, March 28, monthly meeting, the HCCSD Board of Education (BOE) unanimously approved the official document which guides the district’s path for the next three years. BOE President Anthony Anderson and the board members commended Henderson and the strategic plan team of all stakeholders (academicians, students, business owners, officials and community members) for working so diligently to develop and produce such a detailed, research-based data-driven plan of goals for improvement and growth.
The VISION of the plan is to make HCCSD a model rural school district where all students graduate prepared to succeed in a global community. Its MISSION is to Connect with all stakeholders for the Success of Every Child, Every Classroom, Every Day.
“Our It’s THAT Time! Strategic Plan is a living document that will propel us to an A rated, rural school system,” said Henderson. “We are excited about the county’s shared vision for its students.” Henderson added.
That shared vision in the HCCSD It’s That Time! Strategic Plan 2019-2022 is built on the following shared core principles:
- All decisions will be made in the best interest of our children;
- All children deserve a high-quality education in environments that foster trust and respect;
- All staff have the right to work in safe, respectful learning environments; and
- All families are important to the education process of all children.
For many who have reviewed the plan, two of its most welcomed aspects are its frequency of holding everyone accountable for his or her responsibilities and the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measuring instrument. Click Here to read HCCSD’s It’s That Time! Strategic Plan 2019-2022.
