Hunter Education Safety Collaboration
On Saturday, December 17th the Holmes County Career and Technical Center hosted its 1st Fall Hunter Education Safety Training Workshop for community youth. Nine community youth completed the safety course and received their Hunter Education Course Certificate issued by the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Certificate recipients are able to utilize this certificate in order to apply for their official Hunting License. This workshop was made possible through a collaborative partnership between Holmes County Career Tech Center's Law & Public Safety & The Diversified Agriculture Programs, The MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and The Winston County Self Help Cooperative.
Thank you to Officers Cole and Scott, Mr. Sago and Ms. Artrista Saffold for organizing this workshop and for sacrificing their Holiday Saturday by being with their students; Thank you to the Winston County Self Help Cooperative for their sponsorship. Because of them, our students will be able to implement sustainable food sourcing practices SAFELY.
