Eddie Allen began his career with Milwaukee Public School System (Fritsche Middle School) in 1988 as a middle school history/math teacher, and middle school volleyball, basketball, tennis and track coach. He taught ten years prior to become an assistant principal at Fritsche Middle School. He was an assistant principal at Fritsche Middle School for three years.
Mr. Allen has also worked as an administrator in Mississippi's Greenwood Public School district, Louisville Municipal School District, Yazoo City Municipal School District and Holmes County School District. Mr. Allen has been in education for 30 years as a teacher and administrator.
Mr. Allen grew up in the Holmes and Attala County School Districts. He attended Durant Attendance Center, Durant High School, Long Creek Elementary School and graduated from McAdams High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Rust College. After moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he earned his first Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and his second Master’s degree in Administration.
As a school leader, Mr. Allen is excited to provide our students with an environment that is conducive to learning and work with a dedicated staff. He believes that the overall performance of students is a collaborative effort and it is the responsibility of the entire staff of the Holmes County Consolidated School District to ensure that each student receives a quality education through thoroughly planned lessons and high-quality instruction.
Mr. Allen enjoys working with students in his spare time and during the summer months. He led the charge to work with students in the Holmes County community with the vision of putting a rodeo team together so that students have an opportunity to go to college on a rodeo scholarship. He also loves going to all athletic events in which HCCSD students participate.
Mr. Allen has three children: a 25 year old daughter who is working on her chemistry degree at Harvard University while working a full time job as a chemist; a 20 year old daughter who is a freshman at Hinds Community College, and a 14 year old son who is an honor roll student who scored a 24 on the ACT test as an 8th grader, and one grandson. He is married to a very intellectual, beautiful young woman who he says is the apple of his eye.
