Goodman-Pickens Elementary School

Scholars Today, Leaders Tomorrow

Message to Parents

  • Greetings Goodman-Pickens Elementary Eagle Family!
Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic school year! It is with great pleasure and excitement that I return as principal of Goodman-Pickens. For those who don't know me, I am Jamie Kyles, Sr. and I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education and great people.  As this is my thirteenth year in education, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of students ranging in age from kindergarten through high school throughout the district. I am excited and eager to work with each of you as partners in education to ensure the success of our students and to have a lasting impact on our communities.

I firmly believe that every child can succeed and that the cooperation between home and school builds trust and self-esteem in students. Our scholars can use their highest potential to shape their future, consequently, the future of our community and our nation. With my goal of continuing to advance the culture of excellence here at Goodman-Pickens, I am devoted to continually exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students and to interact with parents and community members more efficiently. We will be meeting as a staff, and with parents and students several times this year to identify specific goals in the areas of student achievement, school climate, and parent communication.

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this school year. I will always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during this upcoming school year as we recognize that our students are “Scholars Today, Leaders Tomorrow.”

    Yours educationally,

    Principal Kyles
