Mr. Thaggard is a Vocal Music Performance Major from Alcorn State University where he found a love for world music. He professionally sings with various groups and independently with his bass-baritone vocals interconnected with opera, jazz and gospel. His mission is to inspire the next generation to create and produce music that will change the world. 

K-5 

The students at William Dean Jr. Elementary come to Music once a week.  They will sing songs, learn traditional dances, create dances/movements, play instruments, learn about the orchestra, study various composers, explore music through literature lessons, experience a wide variety of Music styles, and learn to read and write music.   Each grade level will also prepare and perform various programs for their families to enjoy. Please check out our "WDJE Music Calendar" tab for more details on upcoming events and other special anncouncements.
