Welcome to William Dean, Jr. Elementary School! My name is Latasha Mitchell, and I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year. With 15 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment for my students. I currently live in Durant, Mississippi. In 2014, I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Jackson State University, followed by my Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2018. Recently, in 2021, I obtained my Specialist in Education degree with a focus on Psychometry. Currently, I am pursuing my second Graduate Degree in Elementary and Special Education to further enhance my teaching skills. Apart from teaching, I am a proud mother of three amazing daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and making treats. Blue is my favorite color, and I find joy in lighting candles, cheering for Jackson State University during football season, and supporting my daughters' basketball games as they play for the Lady Jaguars. I also love traveling with them for AAU basketball tournaments.
